Finance and Operations Specialist

We are hiring a Finance and Operations Specialist. While this is a full-time position, you will work remote, and be able to have some flexibility with your schedule granted that key deadlines are met and meetings are attended. Our ideal candidates are based on the west coast and operate in Pacific Time through the close of business as needed. Click the button below to learn more.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain A/R and cash flow by reviewing banking activity and reconciling monthly reports
  • Manage all customer invoicing
  • Periodic contact with customers to answer questions or respond to inquiries
  • Manage company budget to maximize revenue and identify potential areas of cost savings
  • Promote continual process improvements in specified budget areas
  • Manage payroll, taxes and other finance related activities
  • Help President monitor and achieve company financial goals
  • Manage procurement activities when needed
  • Identify potential problems and points of friction and working to find solutions in order to maximize efficiency and revenue

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience in an accounting and financial management (operations experience a plus)
  • Must be familiar with Quickbooks online software
  • Must have experience with accounts receivable processes
  • Must be able to regularly work west coast hours of operations, between 8 am – 5 pm Pacific Time
  • Ability to work remotely with a stable internet connection and be in contact with Talent Board staff as needed through collaboration tools like Slack 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated creative and critical thinking skills
  • Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent customer service skills

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting
  • West coast based
