The 2017 North American CandE Award Winners Are Here

By Kevin Grossman of Talent Board

The differences are again dramatic.

When we asked tens of thousands of job candidates whether or not they’d refer others to apply at a specific company based on their recruiting experience at that same company, 14 percent said they would “definitely not” while only 24 percent said they’d be “extremely likely”.

Contrast that with companies that won CandE Awards this year in North America – only 8 percent said they would “definitely not” while upwards of 36 percent said they’d be “extremely likely”.

That’s a 12-percent difference in extremely likely to refer others. Quite significant in any job market but particularly in the competitively tight job market of today.

Talent Board, the first non-profit research organization focused on the promotion and benchmark research of a quality candidate experience, today revealed the winners of the 2017 North American Candidate Experience (CandE) Awards. More than 200 companies registered to participate in the 2017 North American CandE Awards program, which ultimately collected the thoughts and experiences of over 180,000 job candidates.

Winners were identified through a blind data analysis based on their job candidates’ satisfaction survey scores. To qualify, each company committed to a statistically significant candidate response rate, where the proportion of respondents not hired met or exceeded a set standard. Multiple factors in the data summaries were considered in the final analysis, however, three key questions had a significant impact on determining the winners.

These questions focused specifically on the likelihood that the candidate would reapply to the organization, whether or not the candidates would refer other job seekers to the organization and the candidates overall ranking of their specific candidate experience.

The 50 winners are organizations that received the highest positive candidate experience ratings.
