First-Ever U.K.-Based Candidate Experience Awards Winners Announced

LONDON–(Marketwire – Feb 28, 2013) –  The Candidate Experience Awards, a non-profit organisation focused on advancing the employment candidate experience, today announced the winners of the first-ever U.K. Candidate Experience Awards (known as “the CandEs”). Ten companies were honoured as winners of the 2012 U.K. CandEs for setting and upholding a high standard for how they engage and treat job candidates.

Considering global skills shortages and the impacts candidate experience has on a company’s reputation, organisations can help protect their employment and overall brands, workforce strategies and bottom line by providing a positive experience,” remarked Jeremy Tipper, partner at Talent Collective and member of the Talent Board, founding organisation of The Candidate Experience Awards. “We are so very pleased to honour the winning companies of our inaugural CandE Awards and recognise their on-going commitment to promoting stellar recruiting, screening and hiring practices.”

Open to organisations that recruit in the British employment marketplace, the U.K. CandE Awards programme launch follows the success of its North American counterpart. The U.K. programme recognises that candidate experience varies between companies and aims to enable companies to benchmark and improve the experience. Using a survey-based evaluation process, the U.K. CandE Awards consists of three rounds of review designed to identify organisations that produce outstanding candidate experiences. All participating organisations receive a report allowing them to compare their candidate experience against an aggregate of all the entrants.

Leigh Carpenter, UK CandEs director, says companies that met criteria for the first and second rounds of evaluation were awarded a “CandE Award Winner” designation stamp. Those identified as providing exceptional candidate experiences were named “With Distinction” honourees and were celebrated, along with all CandE winners, at a special ceremony held at The Brewery in London on 26 February, 2013.
